When Solomon became king over Israel, he devoted his time to rebuilding God’s temple. Inspired by the holiness of God, he considered every detail of the construction and blueprints of the temple. The Lord told Solomon in 1 Kings 6:12-13: “Concerning this Temple you are building, if you keep all my decrees and regulations and obey all my commands, I will fulfill through you the promise I made…I will live among the Israelites and will never abandon my people.”

God told Israel to build him a temple and worship him there. God showed his people that he was with them by being present in the temple. In the New Testament, we learn that the new temple is not a building. God’s people are now the temple of God. Join us for a weekend of fun and fellowship as we discover how to build ourselves into a home for God’s Spirit to bless.
